VALUE of WAIKATO WHEAT. TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, — Wheat-growers are anxious to know why the value of that commodity i& fixed at 4s per bushel, whereas in Auckland it is worth from 4b 3d to 4s Cd. If the millers had to get wheat from Auckland it would cost them from 3d to 4d per bushel to bring it ; if the farmer sends it to Auckland it will cost him a similar amount to send it. Consequently, Auckland value is the correct standaid, and this rule is steadily applied to oats bought, for loc.il consumption. — I am, etc., Wheat.
