THE NATIVE OBSTRUCTION AT WAOTU.
On Tuesday morning last, Constable Dillon proceeded to Waolii for the purpose of serving summonses on the piincipal natives concerned in the recsnt ca^eoi obstiuction, in which the .surveyor, Mr D. Stubbing, was turned off the land, and forcibly depri\ed of his instrument. The natives seived weie Whatuaio, Natana, and the two women who took a leading part in the obstruction, and who acted on the ordeis of Natana. The constable experienced no difficulty in effecting the service Natana expressed intention of coining to Cambridge immediately to engage the services of a lawyer. The case will come on at the R.M. Comt, Cambridge, to-morrow, when Mr Brookfield of Auckland will prosecute. Mr Peicy Smith, Assistant Surveyor-General is the complainant, and will also attend the court to-morrow. Altogether we believe the case will be an interesting one.
