CHRISTCHURCH, Monday.
At the Land Board, to-day, the enquiry into the alleged dumroyisnj by John McLieah, of Redcastle, near Oamaru, it was found that he purchased two sections in the Hinds district for two of his menservants, who cropped the land! 'and built a two-roomed cottage on it, but the owners did not reside. The Court decided to forfeit the land, but to allow the growing crops to be taken. The Commission at Kaiapoi declarod the voting for the borough loan void through informality.
