The following resolution was ultimately passed : •—•'That the chairman be instructed to telegraph to the Minister for Public Works, strongly urging the acceptance of A^tender for the Newthorne contract of me "Ofcngo Central Railway and other necessary public works for which tenders have been called, and also reminding him of his promise to call for tenders for the tunnels, viaduct and bridge on the Hin•aon section without delay."
