Te Akoha, Monday Night. Good gold has been got to-day at both ends of the Coloni&t low level, particularly in the end going northwaids towards the Premier, where some of the best stone seen on the field was taken this afternoon. This is 49ft. below, and considerably to the north of the upper workings towards the Canadian, so on this low level the reef has improved very much in appearance this last day or two, and is now threo feet wide and showing gold. From the upper workings a large amount of quartz is being sent down to the battery, where 15 head of stampers are kept employed. Mr Firth is here to-day, and went up the hill in company with Mr Gavin to inspect the mines.
