TE AWAMUTU.
The directors of the Cheese Company have received such encouragement from farmers intending to supply milk for the ensuing season that they have decided to enlarge the making-room of the factory. A smoke-house has been erected for smoking the bacon, which is of excellent quality. The Paterangi Cheese Factory will soon be erected. Mr Ohyo, of Ohaupo, is the successful tenderer for the erection of the building ; the contract price is £58. Messrs Coulthard and Graham have the contract for supplying the timber, 4000 ft. of which are now on the ground. The building is to be finished in two months, when the plant purchased by Captain Runciman in America for the Te Awamutu factory, and which has been bought for the Paterangi factory, will be placed in position. The directors of this company have been very successful in disposing of shares. The number decided upon by them to otter to the public having been taken up, they have decided to offer 200 more, which will no doubt be taken up immediately. — ■[Own Correspondent, July 9fch.]
