Pnahoe and Pukekura SubDivisions. After a considerable amount of legal argument, Mr Hay called Pirihi, who had signed a document requesting the sub di\ l&ion, and which he now denied hatini! signed. H. 11. Ti&ud was called, and proved Huhi's signature, and produced a document signed by him on which money had boon paid. Mi .Slieelifin said he was prepared to swear that Tizard brought I'nihi into C.'imlnidge, and that Pin hi had acknowledged the signature in his (Mr Sheehan's) offico. Several witnesses were called and examined as regards the tenure of the lands, and whether some of the grantees had ljrger interests than otlicis. After hearing the evidence, the Chief Judge said that in his own mind he was peifectly satisfied, but that he would wait for Judge Puckey'a return before he delivered judgment.

Te Tatua. Friday. Aranui, one of the counter claimants, conducted his own case. To a large extent his claim ia not disputed, and the point before the court is merely a question of boundary. He called Rii a, who gave evidence as to descent ami occupation. It is expected that the case will last about three days.
