RAGLAN SPORTS.

Is conjunction with the regatta held on the 29th nit., there were some foot sports, which were a much greater success than those held on New Year's Day. Some defects were noticeable iii the arrangements, one particular fault being that there appeared to be no properly appointed judge. Some of the finishes were very close, more especially in the Mile Handicap, which, after considerable discussion, was decided to have resulted in a tie between. Latrobe and J. Galvin, although a very large number of the spectators were of opinion that Galvin won. Considering that some of the cor»petitors iv the various races had undergone no previous training, the time in which some of them were run reflected much credit upon some of the contestants. The following are the results of the several events: — . j 100 Yariw Handicap. Ist prize, £1; 2nd, 10s. G. Gihnour (flyds) 1 ■ W. Mulganey (syds) .2 A.
