Clow, £0 .Is ; Motfatt, £4 H)s Mr Mollatt's tender wns accepted subject to his signing an ngi cement to complete woik accoiding to specifications. Thk Nj;\\ cA.vru: llu.v.—Mr JC. C. Shepherd waited upon the boaid, and asked that tlic expenses inclined by him in the late action, Fitzgerald v. Shepherd, be paid by this body. —Mr Limmur auppoitcd Mr Shepheid's application, inging that lie had, he belies cd, faithfully discharged his duties as langer, and should not have to Mifl'er for it. —Mr Washer thought if the board paid Ills expenses they .should also pay the other side. —Other members of the boaid s»ud this would only be a picmium on litigation, which, howc\er dcsnable for gentlemen ot the legal piofc&sion, woultl not lie at all beneficial to the latepaycis. It had also to ))c reinoinboied that the action of the boaid in continuing the system of cattle fees was taken at the e\piefes Mi.sh of a majoiity of the lateIjayers, against tlie inclination of a majoiity of the lioaid.—The amount, £3 9s, was passed, no member of the board offering any objection.
