In moving the adoption of the statement, M«* Sandes said it would be seen that the debit balance was smaller than last year, but the overdraft was still much too large, and he appealed to those in arrears to pay as soon as possible. He was sorry to. see that the offertories ,had fallen off abont' £18 as compared' "with the previous year, though the pew rents had increased by £0 10s, aud the subscriptions by £3 os.—The motion for the adoption of the statement was. seconded by Mr F. mously. Election ok Ofkick-be vuers. — The incumbent nominated,Mr> R. F. Sandes as his warden for the ensuing year.—Mr Gaudin nominated Mr G. Edgecutnbc for the office of people's warden.—Mr Le Quesne seconded.—Mr R. F. Sandes nominated MrLeQuesne.—Mr Edgecmnbe withdrew and seconded.— Mr LeQuesue was then duly elected. —It w as decided that the number of vestrymen should be seven, and the following were nominated for the office :—Messrs F. Gaudin, H. Chitty James Hume, G. Edgecumbe A. Sharp, Maberly, T. G. Saudes, Gelling, aud T. Jolly. — Messrs Edgecmnbe and Gaudin desired to withdraw to save the trouble of taking a ballot.—Tins course was opposed by the chairman and Mr R. F. Sandes, b*it on being put to the meeting it was allowed, and the remaining seven were then declared elected.—Messrs G. Edgecumbe and F. Gaudin were elected auditors.

The Church Debt.—Mr T. G. Sandes said he had been requested by a few members of the congregation to say something about the finances of the church. They were in a slightly better condition than last year, but not in so good a state as they might be. If the congregation went into the matter heartily they^ftuld soon find themselves in a much better position. He was of opinion that some special should be made to raise the necessary funds. Many were opposed to bazaars, but there were other means, gift auctions for instance, in which there were no objectionable features. He would move that the incoming Vestry be requested to take steps in the direction indicated.—Mr Maberly concurred with the remarks made by Mr Sandes, and seconded, the motion.—ln reply to one of the congregation, the chairman said the amount of the debt on the church and parsonage at present was £280.—The motion was then and carried.
