THE TE AWAMUTU CHEESE FACTORY.

It gives us much pleasme to be able to inform our readers 'that the difficulty connected with the To Awaiuutu Cheese Factory has at length been overcome, and that the manager, Mr Walpole, has been reinstated with full powers. During the continuance of this trouble we purposely abstained from unduly interfering in the matter, believing that it was best, for fclie directors, whom we had reasou for believing were all working for the common good, to fight it out amongst themselves. In our last issue we confined oiu&ehen simply to the expiession of oiiiown opinion, without seeking to cast any reflections on those who differed from us. Now, however, that everything has been satisfactorily settled, we may state that the causes of the difficulty which arose were: fiist, the directors wanted to put the gieen cheese into the market, to which the manager objected,* and secondly, the manager wished to have a managing director appointed, to which, thedirectois objected. Finding, therefore, that a majority of the directors were opposed to him, the 1 'manager very properly sent in his resignation. 1 Since that event, the directors hove been eiigaged in seriously discussing "We situation, 1 with the result that on Monday night a resolution was carried reinstating the manager, and giving him the full contfoU' of; ovpry'tluns cpifrfe^t^^i^!, the making and curing the cheese, receiving milk, employment 'of!
