S. PETER'S CHURCH, HA MIL TON. Institution of the Incumbent.

His Lordship, iv addressing the congregation, alluded to his first \isit to this pait of his diocese some 13 years ago, and gave a gencr.il history of the Church since that time, referring in feeling tsims to the different pastors who had been in charge of the district during that time, after which he paiticularly drew the attention of the congregation to the necessity that existed for their lending every assibtance they could to help their pastor to efficiently cany on the work of the mission. Upon the conclusion of His Lordships address, the churchwarden for the people, Mr P. L°Quu&ue, pi evented the Rev. Robert O'Call.tglian Jiigus to the bishop, sayiug: — "Right Rev. Father in God, we present unto you the Rev. li. O'C. Biggs, to be it stituted and inducted into the incumbency of this parochial district," after which Mr E. F. Sandes, acting registrar, ■tendered the übii.il declarations of canonical obedience, &c., which were duly read by the Rev. R. O'C. Biggs to the congregation. The actinglegislicir, Mr Kamles, then read the Deed of Institution, which was handed to the bishop, and by him to the incumbent. Alter this the congregation were desired secretly in their jjr'yers to make humble supplication/ to Ood for Hb blessing on their Minister. After a brief silence had been kept for tbib piupose, the Bishop laid his haads on the head of the newly appointed minister, saying : " Almighty God, who hath gi\ en you the will to care for the souls of these people ; grant also unto you strength aid power to perform the same ; that He may accomplish His work in their midst ; through Jesus CM) list our Loid. Amen." The Yen. Archdeacon Willis then 1 inducted tho new incumbent by delivering to him the keys of the church ; the bishop offered the usual form of prayer lor the ceremony, followed by the institution hymn, "Heavenly Father, Thee we pray," the benediction closing this, very interesting ceremony.
