CARTERTON, Last Night.
Bush fires are raging, ami tlie place is full of smoke. There is raging fire on the north side of Belvedere road m-ar the railway line. Several hor&es are in imminent danger, and all the neighbours are working with buckets and fire engines. The wind is high and the timber ami rubbish plentiful and dry ; there will bean exciting scene here during the next,, few hours to bave the houses.
