CRICKET MATCH. Otahuhu v. Hamilton.
As arranged, this match came off on Sydney Square on Boxing Day, and resulted in a victory for the visitors by 11 i uns. The wicket was in extremely bad order, owing to the long spell of dry weather and consequently there was little opening for any brilliant display of cricket. The Otahuhu men were evidently in better practice than their opponents, and to this fact may be ascribed their success. The iielding of Hamilton was particularly weak, as the large number of "extras" credited to the visitors will partly testify. In the afternoon the shower of rain somewhat unproved tho pitch, but not to any great extent. The match was decided on the first innings. The following are the full scores : —
