[Received Dercmbui 13th, 1 15 p m.] Mkujouknj;, Yesterday. The accident at tlie Australasian mine at Creswick was caused by mincis breaking into the gold working. According to latest reports the water at inidufght was rapidly diminishing, fifty-thousand gal lons an hour being brought up by the pump. It is expected that the men still in the mine will be reached this nioi'iunsr, but it is teared that if they have not been drowned they will have been suffocated.
[Recehed December 13th, -.10 p.m.] Mkluoukm;, Yesterday. A telegram from Cr.es\\;iok, timed 11 a.m. to-day, reports that the water had not been sufficiently reduced at that time to allow of a descent into the mine, but it is hoped that this may be possible during the afternoon. <
