WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Colonial Sccretaiy left for the South by the steamer Rotoma this afternoon. JVIr Dick its expected to be absent fi'om Wellington a fortnight. A woman named Julia OBrien attempted .suicide this afternoon by jumping off the breastwork. She was rescued by two gentlemen who were pissing, and conveyed to the lock-up. She will bo charged with the offence tomorrow.
CHRLSTCHUBOH, Last Night. Superintendent Han is ■was presented with a piece of plate and a piuse of 100 guineas by the File Association, on the occasion of his Icawiig foi 1 England.
