R.M. COURT, CAMBRIDGE.

Yesterday. — (Before Mr H. W. Northcroft, E.M., and Mr T. Wells, J.P.) A Disorderly Native. A native named Purei was charged, on the information of Victor (iranville, fruiterer, Cambridge, with having, on Wednesday last, entered his shop and assaulted him by pulling his whiskers. Accused did not appear. Mr Dyer for complainant, — Mr Granville, in evidence, stated that accused had entered liis shop, apparently with the intention of buying goods, but really to create a disturbance. On becoming quarrelsome, he (complainant) went to turn him out, when Purei turned round and caught him by the whiskers, which he pulled violently. — As the accused did not answer thn charge, the Bench did not think any further evidence necessary, and inflicted a fine of 20s and costs (£1 8s), or, in default, 14 days' imprisonment.

Civil Oases. Several unimportant civil cases were disposed of, most of which were adjourned till a future Court day.
