WESLEYAN CHURCH, TE A WAMUTU.
The second quarterly meeting of the Te Awamutu circuit in connection with the Wesleyan Church, was held on September 27th, at 3 p.m., in the church at Te Awainutu. The Rev. T. J. Wills occupied the chair. The accounts showed a deficiency of £3 5s 4d, which was subscribed by those present in order that the circuit stewards might commence the quarter with a , clear balance-sheet. 34 full members were reported, and 6 on trial. A unanimous invitation was given to the Rev. T. J. Wills to remain another year, who accepted the invitation with great pleasure should the Conference re-appoint him. A spirited and hearty feeling pervaded the meeting, and the office bearers of the church expressed themselves as pleased with the prospective views of oircuit affairs. The use of the "Wesleyan Church at Te Awamutu was granted for divine service to the Presbyterian body at 3 o'clock every Sunday. — (Correspondent).
