The Corrupt Practices Act Amendment Bill was read a third time and passed. Dr. Menzies moved the second reading of a bill to amend the Education Act, so as to allow bible reading in schools. After discussion the bill was thrown out on a division by 11 to 10. Ayts : Baillie, Chamberlain, Holmes, Menzies, Millar, Nurse, Pharazyn, Richmond, Williams, and Wilson. Noes : P. Buckley, Frazer, R. Johnston, Lahmann, Oliver, Pollen, Scotland, Whitaker, "Williamson, Wliitmore, and Wood.
