FREE IMMIGRATION. TO THE EDITOR.
Sir — I have been informed that the Government intend to raise a fresh loan with the intention of spending part of it for bringing more immigrants to the colonies. If so, I beg to say that our legislators should show their sympathy with the Home Government by passing an Act to stop any one that has in Any Avay been connected with the murafers and outrages committed in Old Ireland, from ever placing his foot in this colony, at least by free immigration. Should this not meet the views of our legislators, they should at least give the country a say in the matter. Should they be brought here it may turn out something worse than saddling the counwith a white elephant. — I am, Sec. Kdwakd JohnJ ohn Moiwit.
