WA IK A TO FELL MONGER Y COMPANY.
A mjsetixg of Mie provisional directors in the above company was held at the officeof the secretary, Ngaruawahia, on Saturdivy last, to decide upon the appointment of manager. There were present — Capt. Lindsay, Messrs K. Fitzpatrick, R. Lamb/ J. Martin, P. R. Frazer.' and Bathborne. After the numerous applications for the position had been fully discussed, it wds unanimously resolved to accept the services of Mr James Brown, Korokomu, Hamilton. The secretary was requested to communicate with Mr Brown at once, informing him of his appointment, and asking him to proceed to Ngarnawahia with as little delay as possible, to advise as to the choice of a site, and other matters of detail necessary for proceeding with the erection of suitable buildings, &c, at once. It is then intended, it the plan meets with Mr Brown's approval, that ho shall proceed throughout the district to purchase hides, skins, &c., and to make arrangements with the butchers and sebtlers for securing further supplies.
