COMPLIMENTARY CONCERT TO MR T. A. BELL.
The complimentary concert to Mr Bell, at the Volunteer Hall, Hamilton, last night, was, owing to the wretched state of the weather, very thinly attended. In view of this, and owing to the circumstance that a great many absentees were purchasers of tickets, the promoters announced that the concert would be repeated on Wednesday night next, when those present, together with other ticketholders, would be admitted free of extra charge. A selection of the programme was then presented, the various items being well received. We regret being unable to give more than a passing reference to what was, notwithstanding obvious drawbacks, a most enjoyable entertainment, but we look forward with much pleasure to next Wednesday. During the interval the performers intend perfecting themselves, so that the second edition will be even better than the first, good as that admittedly was. We hope to see a crowded house.
