THE TAUPO ROAD.

Mr Bust and party arrived in Cambridge on Thursday night, having done the journey from Taupo in one day. They left Orunui, about seven miles on' this side of Taupo at 8 a.m. in the morning, in a two-horse trap, for Cambridge, by the Tokoroa Plains, Maungati, and the new township at the Waipa, and arrived at their destination the same evening at 11.30 p.m. Mr Burt informs us that that part of the road between Maungati and the new Waipa township, about 37 miles, has not been formed. If it were, the journey to Taupo could be done in one day easily.
