ANOTHER FIRE.

♦ Nelson, last night.— Our correspondent wires : — A seven-roomed house in Van-guard-street, at the rear of the Colonist office, was destroyed by fire early this morning. Richard Thomas, the owner and occupierj ia a cab proprietor, and he and his wife were from home. .Nothing practically was saved from the house, but three horses were got out of the stables at the rear, and also three carriages. Ultimately, the stabling was saved with but little damage, and, notwithstanding a good breeze, the spread of the fire was prevented. The house is insured in the Standard office for £150, and the stable in the same office for £100.
