List night our correspondent wired :— At the Law Society's meeting to-day, 95 applications were received for the post of librarian. Mr Crick, a law student, was appointed. Mr Tonks sold, to-day, the right to erect booths for the All-England cricket match. No. 1 booth was sold to Mr Gellender for £43 ; No. 2 booth to Mr Henderson for £32. The right to sell tea and coffee was sold to Mr Orchard for £5. Total, £125. This is four times the amount realised at the sale of the privileges for the Australian match. The gate money for three days is expected to reach £400.
