PERSECUTED JEWS RELIEF FUND. [PER CABLE.]

A Reutjbr's telegram, dated London, January 16th, reports :— Cardinal Manning, Archbishop of Canterbury, Canon Farrar, Dean Lidclon, and other church dignitaries have initiated a movement for the relief of the Russian Jews. It is estimated that a sum of £1,000,000 will be required to relieve the large numbers of Jews who were rendered homeless, and a leading Jewish resident in London has headed the subscription list with a handsome donation of £10,000. A memorial is also being prepared for presentation to the Czar, urging His Majesty to afford means for protection of the Jews in Southern Russia.
