Mr Gresham, as counsel for applicant;, statedjthat a temporary transfer had been issued, and he now asked that it might be made permanent. Granted. F. W. Madigan applied through Mr Gresham for a license for the Club Hotel, Cambridge West. Mr Grenham urged that Mr Madigan had applied on three p-erious occaiionf*: that he had been directed ti construct an additional staircase, and had done to, that so opposition was now offered, that Cambridge West had greatly increased in importance since the last twelve months when Mr Madigan first applied. A letter from Mr Northcroft, R.M., wa.< put in, showing that the Bench had jurisdiction in the locality. The Bench adjourned to consult together, and on re-opening the Court, the chairman expressed a doubt as to whether they had jusu«diction, and consequently declined to deal with the application.
