Parliamentary Proceedings. Sydney, Friday. In the Assembly la3t night, on an adjourned debate on the Mil burn Creek ' mine inquiry, Sir H. Parkes moved that, Mr Garrett, member for, Camden, was unworthy of confidence, in consequence of his action in connection with the award to the company. Mr Garrett made an eloquent speech in his own defence, and the motion was finally rejected by 40 to 38. Sir John Robertson, vice-president o£ the Executive Council, and representative of the Government in the Legislative Council, has resigned his portfolio. The actual cause has not transpired, but it is believed to be due to a difference between Sir John and his colleagues in regard to the policy of the Government,
