CAMBRIDGE PUBLIC HALL COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the above committee was held in the hall on Monday evening last, when there were present Messrs Houghton (ehaiunan), Wdls, Thompson, Hewitt, 3eale, Keesing, and the secretary (Mr Stuart). The minutes of the pievious meeting were read and confirmed, and a few accounts passed for payment. — A letter was read fiom the secretary of the Cambridge Brass "Band asking for the use of the hall for pi actions gratis, on condithat they would render their services at any entcitainment that may be got up for thp benefit of the hall. <>raiiti?d. — A letter was lead from the Public Library Committee asking for a refund of part of the pi ice charged for the use of the li.ill on the occasion of their last annual conceit. Refused. — ~Mi Richaulson, architect, laid on the table two separate plans for the impiovcmcnt and enlargement of the hall. The committee cm oral upon a lengthy discussion as to which shonW bo adopted and after somo some tune decided in fax our of No. 2. — On the motion of Mr Hewitt, seconded by *rr Keesing, it was resolved that the plans should lie accepted, and that the committee meet that day two weeks to receive the finished plans and specifications prior to calling for tendeis. — This finished the business.
