Domain Board.
A meeting of the Domain Board was then held. . The minutes of the previous meeting weie read and confirmed. A lptter was received from Mr Gumming re the allotment which he had leased from the Board. He complained that it was unfair to have to pay rent for a prdperty which was unvariably submerged in water through the want of a drain; which the Board had in their agreement consented to form. - - — Mr Knox moved ''That Mr Cumming be informed that the Board would consider his application when the weather proved more favourable, and 'that steps would then be taken to construct the dram." This was seconded by Mr Peat and carried. A letter was received from Mr T. Maunder, asking permission to fence across the Domain road. It was resolved that the letter be received. A letter was received from the Clerk (Mr Gelling) re the leasing of some allotments in Hamilton East, stating that the same were taken up for leasehold. The Board resolved that Mr Gelling's letter be adopted. The Cloik then drew attention to a list containing a number of persons who had failed to pay their rent for leasehold allotments, and which was payable qUarterly in advance. It was resolved that those in arrears should have a further respite of a month to pay their rent. The Board resolved " That the Clerk be instructed to take the necessary steps with regard to fresh leases. " Mr Peat moved " That the new leases be given to Mr Hay for drawing up on the usual conditions." Seconded bv Mr Hill.
Accounts. The following accounts were passed for payment :— H. Mofflin, £1 ; T. C. Hammond, 10s 6d. Tins terminated the business.
