The Steeplechase Meeting held to-day was a great success in point of vaciug. Mr Douglas, from Napier, was wonderfully fortunate, pulling off a treble by Venture winning the Handicap and Grand Race, and Uira the Maiden. Lone Hand's running was a disappointment, the old grey refusing his jumps in a most provoking manner.
