OPENING OF THE GOOD TEMPLAR'S NEW HALL, HAMILTON EAST.
At the usuni wceUy meeting of the Hope of Hamilton % Lod*gc, No. 10^1.0.G.T. on Saturd iy evening List, at J<] ist Hamilton, arrangements wero made for the opening of the new hall in accordance with Good Templar customs ouPiulay afternoon next. The members of the above order will meet in their new lull at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, when the ceremony will be gone through. At bix o'clock in the evening a te<i meeting will be held in the Oddfellows' Hall, to which tho public arc invited. After tea, the remainder of the evening will be occupied by a lecture by W. J. Speight, Esq., M.H.K , who will arrive from Auckland by the afternoon train, and several of the lady and gentlemen amateurs of the town have kindly offered to assist in the musical programme. The new Lodge-room, though not large, is in every way hiiitcd for the requirements intended, and reflect* credit upon the contractors, who has done the work remarkably well, and in a short space of time.
