HAMILTON WESLEY AN SUNDAY-SCHOOL.

l Anniversary sermons in connection with the above Sunday -school were preached on. Sunday last in the Oddfellows' Hall. At tho morning service there was not a very large congregation. The sermon was preached by the llcv. Wm. Evans, who took for his text the 2nd chapter of Hebrews, 3id ver«e, " PJow .shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation ; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him." The rev. gentleman's discourse was impressive and listened to witlx marked attention throughout ; he concluded by exhorting all those present to the necessity of constant attention to the love and worship of God. In the afternoon the llev. (J. Griffin delivered a very able and well-chosen address on " Gardening," and in the evening preached an eloquent ?eYmon to a large congregation on "Religious Education," taking for his text the 10th chapter of S. Mark, from the 13th to the end of the 16th verse. His remarks were ptincipally addressed to p-irenfs as to the religiou-> education of their children, and exhorting them to teach by example the way in which their children should walk in the love and fear of God. At the close of each sprvice collections were made ou behilf of tho Wesley.m Sunday-school fund. Appropriate special hymns were sung during the .services by the school children, as-isted by the choir. To-night a public soiree and tea-tnoctinjr wilL be held in the same place, after which addrcs»es by the Rows. D. Fulton, H. Bull, (J. Griffin, and others will be delivered. The chair will bo occupied by Captain Steele, and the choir will sing selections during tho evening in company with the children. We hope to see a large attendance, as the We^leyan Sundayschool is, we understand, in need of funds.
