DEATH OF MR NEW ALL.

We regret to have to record the death of Mr Hamilton Newall,of Ngaruawahia, who passed away yesterday morning in the 54th year of his age. Mr Newall was one of the pioneer se' tiers of this district, having arrived in the year 1865. For a number of years he has been a resident at Ngaruawahia, Avhere he established and carried on a very successful steam cordial manufactory, latterly in conjunction with his brother-in-law, Mr D. Coombes. In his business ti'ansactions no less than in his private life Mr Newall was greatly respected, and in many ways he will be missed in the township in which he had made his home. He was a prominent member of the Presbyterian Church, and of the Orange order. Of the latter he was a member for over 35 years, was a past master, and had been a leading member of the Eoyal Irish Black Preceptory. For the last three or four years Mv Newall had been suffering greatly from asthma, which complaint greatly shortened his life. He died peacefully and without pain. The funeral, which will be conducted under the auspices of the Orange institution, will take place to-morrow afternoon, leaving the residence of the deceased at 2 o'clock. Orangemen are notified by advertisement to attend.
