The following letters addresed to the Member for Waipa by the Under Secretary for Crown Lands explain themselves :—: — General Crown Lands Office, Wellington, 2nd September 18S0. Sir,— ln reference to your letter dated Wellington, 16th August, I hare the honor to inform you that the 13 leases of the Hamilton Town Belt (fco F. Vialou and others) have been signed by His Excellency the Governor, as requited in your letter, and transmitted to the Commih&ioner Crown Lands, at Auckland, for r-sue to the Domain Board. — I have the honor to be, sir, your most obedient servant, H. General Crown Lands Office, Wellington, 4th September, 1880. Sir,—Referring to the interviews you have had with me inspecting the Crown grant for the endowments of the Borough of Hamilton, I have the honor to inform you that the Commissioner of Crown Lands, under date 30th ult., reports : " The Crown grant for the endowment of the Borough of Hamilton is in course of preparation, and will be despatched by an early mail. — I have the honor to be, sir, your most obedient servant, H.
