ORDER-IN-COUNCIL. At the Grovprnment House, at Wellington, this first day of September, 1880. Present : His Excellency The Governor in Council. WHEREAS by section twenty-nine of "The Public Works Act, 1876" (hereinafter referred to as " the said Act "), it ia enacted that, if it is found that nnv land taken u .der that Act is not required for public use, the Governor may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein set forth : And whereas by the ninety-fourth section of the said Act it is enacted that the land occupied by any road stopped as pro- I vided by the said Act shall be dealt with as provided by the twenty-ninth aud fol- , lowing sections of the said Act in the case of lands not required for public use : And whereas the road, the land occupied by which is described in the Schedule hereto, has been stopped under the authority of the said Act : And whereas the Highway Board of the Cambridge Highway Distriot has laid before the Governor the memorial referred to in the twenty-ninth section of the said Act, praying the Governor, by an Order in Counc!l, to cause sucn land to be sold : Now therefore, I Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities aforsßaid, do hereby order and authorize the land described in the Schedule hereto to be sold and dealt with in the manner and subject to the conditions of the twenty - ninth and following sections of the said A.ct. SCHEDULE. All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-measurement 15 acres 3 roods, more or less, situated in the Survey District of Hamilton, Provincial District of Auckland, commencing at the south-wes-terly corner of Allotment No. 119. Bounded — Generally North-easterly by lines, 15809 links ; South-easterly by the Waikato River, 105 links ; generally Southwesterly by lines, 15686 links; Westerly by a publio road to commencing point, 100 links or thereabouts : the same being more particularly delinaated on the map attached to the memorial above referred to.
