PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

The following Order-in-Council is published for the information of Ratepayers of the Kirikiriroa Highway District. ANDREW PRIMROSE, Chairman Kirikiriroa Highway District. Kirikiriroa, September 10, 1880. Land in the Kirikiriroa Highway District, not required for public use, authorized to be sold. Hercules Robinson, Governor. ORDER-IN-COUNCIL. At the Government House, at Wellington, this 17th day of August, 1880. Present : His Excellency the Goveenor-in-Cor/NciL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-nine of "The Public Works Act, 1876" (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), it is enacted that, if it is found that any land taken under that Act is not required for public use, the Governor may, by an Order-in-Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein set forth : And whereas by the ninety-fourth section of the said Act it is enacted that the land occupied by any road stopped as provided by the said Act shall be dealt with as provided by the twenty-ninth and following sections of the said Act in the case of lands not required for public use : And whereas the roads, the land occupied by which is described in the Schedule hereto, have been stopped under the authority of the said Act : And whereas the Highway Board of the Kirikiriroa Highway District has laid before the Governor the memorial referred to in the twenty-ninth section of the said Act, praying the Governor, by an Order-in-Council, to cause such land to be sold : Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Colony, aud in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities aforesaid, do hereby order and authorize the land described in the Schedule hereto to be sold and dealt with in the manner and subject to the conditions of the twenty -ninth and following sections of the said Act.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 27 acres and 38 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Hapuakohe, Parish of Taupiri, commencing at the easternmost corner of Allotment No, 148. Bounded — Generally North-westerly by lines, 140, 2584, 933, 2425, 1658, 634, 2271, 1070, 690, 1025, 559, 264, 709, 561, 724, 592, 691, 1315, 1619, 4478, and 3660 links respectively ; northerly by the Mangawhara Creek, 105 links ; generally Southeasterly by lines, 3666, 4543, 1642, 1294, 675, 597, 748, 557, 714, 264, 559, 990, 640, 1124, 2/24, 619, 1779, 2368, 862, 2643, and 120 links respectively ; Southwesterly by a line to commencing point, 115 links. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods 28 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Hapuakohe, Parish of Taupiri, commencing at the easternmost corner of Uotment No. 339. Bounded — South- westerly by a line, 670 links ; northwesterly by the Mangawhara Creek, 100 links ; North-easterly by a line, 680 links ; South-easterly by a line to commencing point, 100 links. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 22 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Hapuakohe, Parish of Taupiri, commencing at the easternmost corner of Allotment No. 141. Bounded Southwesterly by a line, 2552 links ; North-westerly by the Mangawhara Creek 150 links ; North-easterly by a line, 2730 links ; South-easterly by line to commencing point, 110 links. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 13 acres 2 roods 17 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Hapuakohe, Parish of Taupiri, commencing at the southernmost corner of Allotment No. 136. Bounded North- westerly by Allotments Nos. 136, 135, 134, 133, 1 18, and 120, 13645 links ; North-easterly by the Mangawhara Creek, 120 links ; South-easterly by r llotments Nos. 121, 117, 131, 137, 138, and 139, 13509 links ; South-westerly by a line to commencing point, 100 links. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Hapuakohe, Parish of Taupiri, commencing at the southernmost comer of Allotment No. 118. Bounded — Generally North - easterly by Sections Nos. 118 and 119, 2,079 and 1,700 links respectively; North-westerly by the Mangawhara Creek, 100 links ; South-westerly by Section No. 132, 1,696 and 2,136 links respectively ; South-easterly by a line to commencing point, 120 links. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 17 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Hapuakohe, Parish of Taupiri, commencing at the southernmost corner of Allotment No. 116. Bounded — Generally South - westerly and North-westerly by lines, 402, 3,088, and 2,214 links respectively ; Southerly by a line, 100 links ; generally South-easterly and North-easterly by lines 2,260, 50, 3,150, and 425 links respectively ; North-westerly by a line to commencing point, 100 links. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 10 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Hapuakohe, Parish of Taupiri, commencing at the northernmost corner of Allotment No. 128. Bounded — South-westerly by Allotment No. 128, 2,550 links ; Southeasterly by a line, 100 links ; Northeasterly by Allotment No. 337, 2,580 links : North-westerly by a line to commencing point, 100 links.
