HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
A hpectal meeting of the Borough Council was hold last ni°:ht. Present — I [is Worship the Mayor, Councillors Veulou, Peat, Davis and ftfcG arrive The newlyelected Councillor^ Hill, Knox, and Jones, were introduced, made the u*ua,l statuary declaration, and after beingcomplimented by His Worship, took their seats. ' The SJaughter-hou^e Bye-laws previously advertised, and the only business of the special meeting-, were passed. The Council then rose.
Simultaneously in the Audubon (Iowa) County Clerk's office, one nvin applied for a copy of a decree of divorce from his former vafe, and another man for a licence to marry her. Thcfoimer wished the latter joy, but sarcasm wab detected in his tone.
