PROPOSED NEW HIGHWAY DISTRICT AT OH AUPO.
A meeting- of the l'atepayers of the Ohaupo and Pukekura districts was held at the €ounty Chambers, Ohaupo on Tuesday, to consider the desirability of forming a new Highway district, with Ohaupo for the centre, including portions of the Pukekura, and Rangiaohia Highway Districts, as at present constituted. There were about twenty ratepayers present and the chair was occupied by Mr H. Buttle. On the motion of MiEdwards, seconded by Mr Turney, the following resolution was carried : — "That Messrs. Buttle, Lake, Fleming, Kusabs, Turney, Edwards and Potts form a committee for the purpose of ascertaining the feeling and obtaining the signatures of ratepayers within the proposed boundaries with a view to further action, to report at a meeting to be held that day fortnight." A vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded the meeting.
