Police Cases. Tiiom.vs Page, of Rang'mohin, gardener, was charged, on the information of Constable Gillies, with a breach of the Public Works Act, viz , being: drunk and incapable whilst in charge of a horse. Dismissed with a caution on payment of 7s costs.
Riding on the Footpath. George Maunder, of Kihikihi, carpenter, and George Nattrass, of Te Awamutu, laborer, were charged with the above. Both defendants pleaded guilty. Cautioned by the Bench against offending for the future.
Civil Oases. Lowis v. Smith (of Whatawhata), dishonored cheque. Judgment for plaintiff. Debt, £2; costs, 15s. W. Corboy v. H. C. N. Tanner ; Mr Gresham for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff. Debt, £H 3s 2d ; costs, £2 Is. Duffus and Dick v. John Gormansway ; Mr Gresham for plaintiffs. Judgment for plaintiffs. Debt, £12 9s ; costs, 2s 6d. Blunden v Frank A. Hooper; Mr Gresham for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff. Tristram v. Nichol (judgment summons); Mr Gresham for plaintiff. Adjourned to next ' Court day. Defendant subsequently paid debt and costs. Corboy v. Nunn (judgment summons) ; Mr Gresham for plaintiff. Adjourned to next Court day. The Court then rose.
