THE OUTBREAK OF Pleuro-Pneumonia.

On Tuesday Inspector Runciraan and Veterinary Surgeon jNaden proceeded to Woodlands for the purpose of inspecting cattle and slaughtering such as might be found in advanced stage of pleuro ; bnt on arrival found that no preparations had been made to yard the cattle, and the inspection was in consequence deferred to a future day. They afterwards proceeded to the farm of Mr Rumney and examined his cows, which were reported as sickly by Mr Swarbrick at last meeting of the South Auckland Cattle Board, but failed to detect any disease. They then proceeded to Mrs Martin's property' at Hokonui, examined eight cows, but defreeted no symptoms of pleuro.
