THE LATE PROMENADE CONCERT.
TO THE EDITOK. Sir, — Would you kindly allow me, through the columns of your valuable journal, on behalf of the Band, to sincerely thank those ladies and gentlemen who, through the exquisite rendering of their vocal parts, so materially assisted to the success of the late promenade concert ; and to regret that you inadvertently omitted to notice the aid so kindly rendered. .Also, to thank Mr Gwynne for his kindness, not only in placing the ground at our disposal, but in assisting us m every possible way ; also, Mr Vialou and other friends for their kind assistance ; and last, though not least, Mr Editor, yourself, for bringing the affair so prominently before the public in locals and otherwise. — I am, &c, A. Scott, Band Secretary. Hamilton, March 19, 1880.
