LOCAL PRODUCE.
The local appearing in the Waikato Ttmk.B of Tuesday last, regarding apples grown in Hamilton, has, we are pleased to say elicited information from other parts of the Wailcato. Mr t ichard Gwynne, has shown us samples of apples grown at Cambridge, by Mr Fantlmm, weighing respectively 12 ounces o drams, and 12 ounces 1 dram. Those samples of Hamilton grown apples alluded to on Tuesday, it will be remembered weighed respectively 11 ouncos and three-quarters, and 12 ounces. So So far therefore Cambridge had the best of it. But Hamilton settlers are not ynt beaten by Cambridge, for yesterday Mr Richard U-wynne submitted to us for inspection two apples grown by Mr Davis, of Hamilton West, weighing respectively 13 ounces and 12 ounces and a half : and Mr Care, manager for Mr Hunt, Ohaupo Road, two apples weighing 15 ounces and a quarter, and 1 4 ounces. In potatoes also we have received magnificent specimens kindly handed to us by Mrs Eogers grown on the farm of Mr Rogers, Ohaupo Boad, one of which weighs 2 lbs and and a quarter.
