COACH ACCIDENT.
The Alabama ooach, which loffc Hamilton yesterday morning iv charge of the proprietor, Mr Jackson, met with an accident about four miles thi< side of Mr Inues' farm. The accident occurred through the coach cap-izing into a creek, while endeavouring: to avoid a nasty place in the road where a culvert hes been washed away. Fortunately no one was hurt. The hordes, however, aro much shaken. It is not known yet whether auy damage has occurred to the coach, inasmuch as it etill lies iv the creek. The attention of the Hamilton Highway District Board has repeatedly been drawn to this exceedingly dangerous place in the road— which is nothing less than a mantrap — but hitherto without any good result. Now that the horse is out perhaps the trustees will shut the stable door. Mr Jackson, we learn, intends entering an action for damages against the board.
