RIFLE MATCH. CAVALRY Y. INFANTRY.

A match was fired on Saturday last at the butts, Eaht Hamilton, between five members of the Hamilton Light InfantryCorps and five of the Hamilton contingent Te Awamutu Cavalry Volunteers. The weather was capital, there being no wind at all. Mr T. G. Sandes acted as marker for the Bcoring. The fact that the Hamilton Light Infantry made no better scores is doubtless attributable to the fact that they Übed the old muzzle-loading Enfield rifle. The following 1 were the scores : —

iOj. It will thus be seen that the Cavalry won by 45 points. We understand that a challenge has been sent by the Cavalry to shoot with a similar number of members of the Infantry corps for a dinner to both companies.
