Hamilton, July 8. (Before H. W. Northcroft, Esq., R.M.) B3EACII Ol» BOROUGH BY-LAWS. Henry Tristram was charged by Constable Murray with a breach of the bylaws by riding a horse on and along the footpath m the Borough of Hamilton. Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined £2 and costs, 7s. CIVIL SIDE. Burke v. Rd. Hill.— Debt, £7 7s for board and lodging. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff for full amount, and costs, £2 ISs. Cox v. Hofcana.— Claim £2, goods delivered. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, los. Potter v. Dauvers.— Judgment debt, £6 7s Gd. Adjourned till next Court day, with costs, 13s. Fitzpatrick v. R. Hill.— Claim, £1 17s lOd, goods supplied. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff, for full amount and costs, 18s. Ewen v B. Young.— Claim £1 12s, for grazing defendant's horse for sixteen weeks. Judgment for full amount, with costs £1 11s Gd. Teas v Mason.— This was a claim to recover tenement and rent, £1 5. Mr O'Ncil appeared for defendant, and objected that there Avas no date on the summons as to when the case should be heard. It was agreed that tho date of the 22ud be inserted, and tho case heard the ucxt court day.
