OPENING OF PARLIAMENT BY COMMISSION.

(By Special. Telegraph, from our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Parliament was opened by a Commission, consisting of Colonel Whilmore, Sir Dillon Bell, and Mr Richmond. v The Premier proposed MrO'Rorke as Speaker, Major Atkinson seconded the. motion. Both referred to Mr O'Rorke m the highest terms of eulogium. The election was unanimously and warmly applauded. Mr Whi taker congratulated Mr O'Rorke. The new Speaker 1 thanked the House for the compliment. The House then mtjoumed till two o'clock ou Tuesday next.
