AUSTRALIAN TELEGRAMS.
SYDNEY, April 7. A team of cricketers, representing New South Wales only, intends visiting England shortly, under the management of Mr Driver, M.L.A. SYDNEY, April 8. The steamer Mentiua has arrived at Port Darwin from Hongkong with 536 Chinese, including 26 for New Zealand. Another steamer with Chinese is expected at Port Darwin iv a few days. An uproarious meeting at Lambtou against, the Chinese was held at Newcastle to-day. The majority of the men are inclined to continue to work. A large body of police was present, m consequence of the apprehension of a riot.
