NGARUAWAHIA SCHOOL ELECTIONS.
The Annual Meeting of kousohqldeic, iu the Ngaruawahia S.hool District, was held on Monday evening, in the schoolroom. A larger number attended than ou any previous occasion. Mr Dickeson wa. called to tho chairThe Secretary of the outgoing committee read the accounts for the past year, which was passed. The following gentlemen wwrc then duly nominated, as candidates for the committee, for tho current year : — Messrs Hunt, Diekesou, Jame.-i, T. V. Fit_ patrick, Hood, Simmolhag, Butcher, Taylor, G-ifFney, Goodwin, Nicols, and Paterson. On tho billot being taken, tho following wore ike highest seven ; — triifney, 32 ; Hunt, 29 ; Paterson, f0 ; j Nicole, 15; Taylor, li; Butcher, 11; James, 11, Mr Hunt proposed, and Mr Fitzpatriok seconded, a vote of thanks to the Secretary, Mr James. Both gentlemen spoke highly cf thp manner in which he conducted the business uf committee, cjuring his term of office.
