SITTING OF NATIVE LANDS COURT.

SATURDAY. The Native Lands Court sat on Saturday in the Court House, Hamilton, and was presided' over by Captain Symonds, Judge;, 1 and Kamariera Warepapa, Natiye Assessor. ; The first business.On the opening- of the Court was. hearing: an expression of opinion from claimants whether the convenience of the' natives would be best suited.by hpliding the Court in Hamilton or Cambridge. Various reasons and arguments were adduced on both sides — Tamata Kanapipi, on behalf pf the Nga'tiraukaua and' Ngaterangi, protesting against " the Court being held at a place where the natives appearing were cut off from their supplies of food. The Judge stated that he would give his decision on the matter on the following Monday. Meantime there were several succession cases, which would be considered. Several of these cases were then gone into, and orders made in accordance with the evidence. MONDAY. ; : The Court resumsd at JLO .a.m. yesterday. Several succession cases Were gone into, and orders made. The Court then ruled that the cases in connection with the following blocks should be heard at Cambridge, to which .place the Court will adjourn on its rising—namely, Mangakareti, Waipa, Ruapiha, Tuaraparahara.hara,WaipaNo.2.TuaraparaharaharaNo. 2, Mangawhara, and' Okauia. The Court will sit again this morning at Hamilton, and, on its rising to-day, adjourn to Cambridge, and sit on Wednesday.
